Train driver just keeps at what she's doing

Stopped abruptly in the midst of merry-making
The passengers look shocked
They look up only to see

An infuriated train driver.

After a good telling off
Barrage of mindless questions and insults
The passengers decide to leave

I'm glad they did though,
For just moments later...

Because True Love, Never Fails

This is meant for valentine's day, but I'm going to publish it now. Early!

What is love? The four letter word that is the essence of relationships. It’s far more than a word or expression, it’s something to be lived out. Love is beautiful, because it never fails. It holds things together and binds different people. Love is deep affection, care and concern for someone.

Love knows no boundaries, it surpasses time and distance. Love is willing to wait…for months or years. It does not rush things, instead it waits in patience. Love perseveres. It makes you hold on to something in hope.

Love protects. You would definitely protect the one you love from any harm. You would stand up for him or her, no matter what others say. Love sacrifices. Think of someone who sacrificed his/her time, money, food, energy for you and be thankful. It’s easy to take people for granted, but I hope you don’t. Appreciate people! Love trusts, it neither questions nor doubts. It does not restrict, it releases. It is not possessive, as it understands people do need their personal space. It is not insecure!

Love is not selfish. It causes you to live not only for yourself, but for the other person too. It is willing to serve the other person first, and does not seek for self gain.

Love is accepting someone for who he or she is. It realizes the flaws of a person, but accepts them with maturity? Love brings out the best in character, it changes you to be a better person, as two people build on each other’s morals and values. Character and personality stays while looks fade. Physical attraction is short lived. Love lasts.

Love is not infatuation. It is not superficial, it goes much deeper beyond just emotions and feelings. Infatuation fizzles out. Infatuation also causes people to do things they might regret later, but love will not.

Love sustains relationships, and lets time do its work, seasoning the relationship with flavour. Love is about being faithful, about commitment, walking through the ups and downs of life. It does not abandon in times of need, instead it is there to give guidance and support. A hand to hold. Saying "I'll be here for you" and meaning it.

Love understands. Communication! The ability to be sensitive to the other’s feelings and emotions and relate to them strengthens relationships.

Love does not forget. It remembers and cherishes. However, it does not keep count of wrongdoings or hold grudges ; it is quick to forgive. It keeps promises made.

Will you love someone more today? Because love makes the world a much cheerier, brighter, happier and meaningful place to live in. People, go light your world with love! Happy valentine’s day.

By the way valentine's day is not overrated. It depends on how you spend the day, not just with pretty flowers and nice restaurants. And neither do I see the big hype over it. Heh. It's just a day to have fun and remember you do love your friends! Of course you don't only express your love on Feb 14, which would be quite stupid. You should express your love the whole year round! :D

P.S. I don't particularly appreciate flowers anyway.

I'm too lazy to post, partly because I'm busy with assignments. Oh well. Still don't understand what's with ____. Haha hopeless! Just amuses me. Went shopping with Zheng Yi on sunday :D Bought a converse shirt and gingerbread man earrings. So cute. Whee. And today completed my x-men 2 trailer. I'm proud of our work, hooray. Although we started off frustrated, we managed to complete it, and it looks good. Xin Ying, Xin Chen, another 11 guy and I got stuck in the V block because all the staircases were locked and thus had to call Ms Jancy to open the gates for us. Phew. Luckily she was still in the office. She said we might have had to stay overnight! Hahaha. I'm still sick, ah well. Today Physics was crapping time, how fun (: And _____ freaked me out! Haha yijun you know who right. Blaaaaa. Took bus with Timothy today morning as usual.

Yijun is so lame, and our bottles got mixed up yesterday. Kompol loves sleeping in class. Understatement of the year. Even getting his ears pulled by a teacher doesn't wake him up. And being sprayed on face. He just rubbed his eyes during IH and went back to sleep. Amazing, that guy.

Oh I don't like fries and burgers anymore. Ate too much until sick of them already.

I look at tkgs people getting stressed and I'm happy I'm not one of them. Sure, in IP we get stressed, but at least we're proud of our work. We find meaning in what we do. Except for geog which I have no idea what it is about. And we work together. 4 other people to talk to during class time! (: no individual tables! We have fun and delight in our work. Actually I realised, so long as you have fun and are enthusiastic, your work will seem less of a chore to you. Like Imagineering survey. Thank you wonderful group people! 167 surveys in less than an hour is a lot, and even though it might be embarassing, we have about 83 more to go, let's spam the canteen tomorrow :D
