This Is A Great Day To Be Living

Today was, in a word - marvellous.

Well, my day started when I met Dory on bus 12, we were on the way to eat at Sakae Sushi with fellow cellies (Cheryl Ng, Eunice, Evelyn) My cell is awesome because:
1. They talk a lot
2. They eat a lot
3. They are so amusing
4. They are full of laughter
5. These traits make them superb eating partners! (Am I am reminded how I am supposed to go out with Alex Lam since 123248 years ago)

I love my TKG1 a lot, I love my cell! (VJCell also, i wish i could join them more often)

So! We ate and ate and ate and laughed and took photos - 70% of them were unglam shots. We had a good time. Then some people forced us to play Dance Dance Revolution. Eww, I can't dance for nuts. I perspired because I was wearing my new stuff which was long sleeved. Bah, how evil. Haha.

Prayer meeting never fails to get my spirits up. Courage, strength, unity. I think God knows what we need most man. It's nice to see MegaLifers lifting up our voices in unison, in desperation. It's always good to see each meeting ends on a high - but we've got to remember. The fire doesn't end there, it doesn't fizzle out as the days go by. It should grow. Add more fuel to it.

Dearly Beloved

Friends. I really love them. Well the past month I've really figured out who I really hold close. And who holds me close. I shan't name names, but probably, I'll single out certain people.

Joshy! - Who probably never came to my blog before. Well we haven't been talking much recently due to my lack of time, but he still remembers me. I knew him on the most randomest of places - Neopets (when we were really young), like in Primary school. So he lives in Perth, and we just talk over msn, with a few text messages flying over the Pacific Ocean occasionally. He commented me on myspace!

TKGS1 - You girls are fabulous. I really hope to see each and every one of you all grow! =) Thanks for making my life great (even though sometimes you all are so naughty) Haha. And thanks to Evelyn, Dory and Cheryl Ng for being bus 12 friends and waiting for me even when I'm laggy! Let's be more than conquerors.

MMT'06 - If it were one year ago, we'd be in Medan now. Thanks for all the fun we've shared, the experiences (such as praying but getting scolded for being late) and all the laughter - each training was really an abs workout.

And, and! I love my childhood friends! Timothy Goh, Kindy Friend!- who i still talk to and know his mom and everything. =) He's a really smart guy. Andrew Theodores, Montessori Friend! - whom i located over the Internet and who moved from Toronto, Canada to Florida, USA and is an Ice Hockey player. Haha we still talk on myspace.

To someone: If you're drowning in a river, the only way someone can save you is when you first reach out your hand and stop struggling about wildly. Give someone a chance to help. I still care!

Crunchtime Pt. 1 Over

Hooray I finally finished =) I love doing what I do. Even if it means I get less sleep, haha! I'm totally zoinked because I've been doing work since 11 plus and at the same time handling cell ministry matters. Wow. I can only get through this because my King. Yay.

PJ and Joachim's Birthdays

MMT'06 celebrated PJ and Joachim's birthdays today! I am really proud of my awesome leaders and love them very much. They've really left behind an impact in my life and taught me things that I didn't know. They gave me opportunities to just lead and really love people and love God more. Thanks you two, I love you!

Leaving My Mark On The World

The reason why I love what I'm doing or why I take joy in helping others is simple. So long as one person's life is changed for the better because what I have done, I am content.

Sometime Thursday I sent an email to my cell. It's touching to see it impacted some, somehow. I love every one of my cell members, truly and wish to see them making that change, making that impact, leaving the world a better place than before.

It's always the horrible things you hear or see in the media - killing, violence, hunger, poverty. Things which appall, but you have no power over.

But who says you can only change the world if you have a lot of money, or if you have the means to? If you thought so, you're mistaken.

You can change the world a bit by a bit, with the love you show to a broken-hearted friend, with a simple smile, with care and concern, showing a little kindness. You can change the world by doing what I'm doing. You can change the world by uttering a simple prayer. You can make that difference by stepping out in courage to share the love of a Saviour with someone who is lost.

I hope people will stop wasting their lives away chasing after material pursuits, but chase after God's heart. The Truth. Making A Difference. And what comes after.

I think today's service just was indescribable. PJ up on the stage - the first few sentences she spoke put me on the verge of tears. Because that's exactly my heartbeat for Megalife.. And I am reminded of my calling and my destiny (even as last night - or should I say in the wee hours of this morning I had blogged about it).

My calling, my destiny. My ministry, my responsibility.

And so my heart breaks when people get left behind. I seriously hate that. Because we are called to be ONE Megalife, ONE ministry with ONE vision (500), ONE army that plunders hell to populate heaven, aren't we? The candles in the darkness.

When I opened my sermon outline before service I was so shocked, because what was about to be preached was what I suddenly felt so strongly about this week. This shows that I'm beginning to connect in that special way again, hooray. God I thank you for speaking to me again.

When everyone was on the chairs and united as One, I was happy. I have always wanted Megalife to be like this - to worship not as individuals but to do so, together, in spirit and in truth.

We are the ones who write history. We are the ones who make things what they are going to be. So why not leave something that lasts - a legacy?

Making a difference - Don't lose sight of this. Make your life count for Jesus. Nobody is a nobody.
If some kid could feed a crowd with 5 loaves and 2 fishes, what makes things so impossible for you? I know I'm not alone in this - and you aren't too...we're all in this together.

So just do it!

My calling is to prayer - I think it's quite obvious to me now. I don't know why but God gave me this calling.. even though I sometimes am not very strong, I know who gives me strength to run on. [John 15:5]

I still remember and am thankful for the leaders who have helped me grow so much (in no order) : Cheryl Tan, Caroline, Crystal, Vanessa Ong, Amanda Lim, Randolf, PJ, Joachim, Jeanette, Ern, Issac, Shiwei, Yihui.. There are still so many more people to thank but these few made the difference, and I appreciate them for sacrificing to invest into my life. I shall move into the people category sometime soon though :) And people who inspire me - people like Benedict.

Energy-sapping but good

Today was a really tiring day, but I'm glad we made the cakes. Happy birthday Vanessa Ong & belated to Cheryl Tan! Influential people in my life. On the other hand, I'm glad that I get to work with my favourite people this year, hooray.

Sacrifices - They don't mean anything to me now, do they? I made my choice to Carry My Cross and I'm glad I did, because all things will work out for good. [Luke 14:27] Thank you for the cross, what I pay is nothing compared to what you did.

Pray, seek your face, show me your ways & what you want me to say. I think it's time to remind everyone eh?

TKG1 - I hope you all will do something about what I asked you to think about. Making a difference is an easy thing to do. So start now.

Okay so just when I put Andrew at the back of my mind he sent me a myspace message asking me how I was. Man, I miss Canada. I've been doing proposals since 9pm - and I am tired now but doing proposals is good. I am not looking forward to another boring and pointless day in school tomorrow. I messaged LXQ today, that bobo and found out that she's going to detention again for being late for school. Haha I miss that girl a lot.
