Tis The Season
As Christmas draws near, it wouldn't hurt to stop and ponder
Of the happenings of the year.
Things which have passed,
Happy
or
Sad.
But these things, they do make me grow
The circumstances where you fall, make mistakes
Become worth going through
When you can touch a life
Or offer advice.
Anyway, No One's Perfect
That's why pencils have erasers
We all do this:
Make Mistakes.
And of all the things I could ask of Santa
(No I don't believe that he comes on his cart drawn by reindeer)
I just ask for
A group of good friends who would stick by me always
My cell to grow big, deep and united
A happy family
A good life in school
My studies to be salvaged
&&& Salvations.
Cliched things to a lot of people, like World Peace and banishing of poverty still stand in my list though. But hey, there's nothing wrong with holding an opinion and holding it passionately, as Condozeela Rice says.
I miss some things, I miss some people. Especially Hannah Kim Xiaoqi Leer Mel Jesslyn Nat Hima TKGBBALL.
But I love some new things, like class cell people and Camp Comm. People that I got to know this year, people like Jenson, Timo etc.
And the things which always remain - My cell, my leaders & MegaLife. People like Joshy (He totally rocks) , Wadee and other old friends (Yay I found Andrew this year!)
Yeah 40 people will receive stuff from me this Christmas.
The lessons which you learn every year always boil down to this:
You are nothing without God.
Something you have to learn time and again.
I shall end this off by reproducing my PM:
Tis the season, for ( )
Make your life count.

Shopping
Went to town with mom to shop for Christmas clothes and presents. I've got a whole load of presents to get - Camp Comm, Cell and other friends. Haha I've gotten like, 40 cards. And stuff. Went to Gap and got a pair of jeans and a waffle scoop hooded long-sleeved shirt. Finally get to indulge, for once. Ordered three tees on threadless, with the help of Nat. I can't wait for them to come in :D
Christmas, isn't Christmas
Till it happens in your heart
Jianing's leaving for Taiwan for three years. I'll miss her ):

Rockclimbing
Rockclimbing.
I still don't know if I'm going to go back there and be permanent, or I'm just going to continue in the state i'm in, being a member who doesn't turn up.
I really want to go back, to join them but there are just so many considerations.
Considerations:
1) Time - Really takes up precious time, that I can use for ministry, to invest into lives, and also time to spend to save my horrible academics.
2) Money - Gear / Training / ClimbAsia Fees aren't cheap.
3) Sense of belonging - Is really bad (Ever since I didn't go during the Review Weeks) It doesn't help that there's no IP1/2 girl in RC.
Yeah so that's about it, I'll most probably think about it again, and most likely, if I join, I'll go with the next batch (the 08s?) I talked to Gerry about rock and stuff. Should talk to Xiaoxian soon man.
I need a dose of regular sports. My inner sportsperson is dying. I love sports. I do like rockclimbing quite a lot, just that considerations make it difficult. Bah, humbug I feel like a lost sheep in there.
But otherwise.
Joy unspeakable that won't go away

Imagine This
You walk down a path in winter.
The snow crunches beneath your boots.
It's cold.
And just when you think you're going to freeze,
You notice you have just come to a crossroad.
One fork leads to a dense forest full of pines
One fork leads to nothingness
You walk down the pathway where you see nothing
Perhaps, at the back of your mind
You have a gut feeling
That
There just might be something worth going on that path for.
So you trudge through the thick snow
The falling snow becomes light
Ah.
You see a little tin shed
Something in it is set aglow
Pushing open the door
Which Creaks
On It's Rusty Hinges
You sense a majestic glow
A book
With words that you can't decipher
Is giving out that glow.
The book in clutched in your hands
You have no idea what it means
But one thing you do know
It's keeping you
Warm
Safe
Snug.
There. The path to nothingness led you to something the forest couldn't offer.
Sometimes you don't need to know what gives you warmth, you should just accept it. How's that, for a Saviour's love?

A Powerpacked Week
Hey All, I'm back from the most tiring yet fulfilling week of my life.
Starting from Nick Vujicic's service, which was awesome, inspiring and touching (and hey I was the second MegaLifer to hug him, thanks to Weishi =)
Camp was great. Really was, even though I missed a few services here and there, I'm really glad things went well. I hope MegaLifers enjoyed camp, and most importantly, had their lives touched & changed. I'm ecstatic to see that the the fire has been brought back (but it's crazily dangerous now though) I really see the plans God has beginning to unfold, bit by bit in this "SIAO LA" ministry.
Food was real good this time, too bad I didn't have the time to enjoy it. Buffet? Munchy Donuts? Fruit tarts? Cup noodles? You don't get that in all camps man. Kudos to the Operations team, you all did an splendid job.
I still don't know whether the experiential workshop went well, I hope so, because MegaLifers really ought to own their faith. For those who ended up in "hell", it's not your fault, you just got deceived, in such a subtle way. It's not anything bad on your part. I hope you will see the reality of Hell to your friends, and put in that extra effort to prevent them from going to that horrible place =) (P.S. I slept like at 7AM doing the ropings!)
Camp Comm. pulled through, thankfully. All the stress and tension was released the last night when we finally could relax. Inside jokes, and all are the best. Starting from Ah Lee's "Eh Eh Eh", Randolf and Issac's "Fed up la", Zhengxin's "Xiong Di Jie Mei Men" and Joshua's famous "GG!" We've got a crazy bunch of people, with our fearless leaders Ah Lee, Ah Quah and Ah Lam leading us. It's a pity though, about Ronald, who's now known in MegaLife as Vietnam Farmer.
Youth Alive are really a crazy, mischevious bunch of guys who are passionate doing our King's business. When I went with them to Sentosa on Thursday, this was the conversation between Jone and the attendant at the Songs Of The Sea performance.
Attendant: Where're you from? (Intending to ask what country Jone was from)
Jone: My mom!
Attendant: with a confused face Wow, that's the first one.. Mmm ok (He obviously thought My Mom was a country)
Crazy man that guy. I heard he downed 9 Kong Ba Baos at Sakura, and he refers to them as "buns with chicken in the middle". I'm tired, so more stories later (:CAMP COMM!
