Sometimes, all you need is a listening ear :) Coffeeshop conversations. I learnt so much.

Slow Dance
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down,
Don’t dance too fast.
Time is short,
The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day
Or do you fly?
When you ask, “How are you?”
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You’d better slow down,
Don’t dance too fast.
Time is short,
The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,
“We’ll do it tomorrow?”
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch
Let a good friendship die
‘Cause you never had time
To call and say, “Hi?”
You’d better show down,
Don’t dance too fast.
Time is short,
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through
your day,
It is like an unopened gift…
Thrown away.
Life is not a race,
Do take it slower.
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Today, today, it's all or nothing
It dawned upon me during class today what this part of Take It All really meant - that either you give your all, or you give nothing at all. And that means that in whatever we do, we do it for God, we walk it His way - anything else amounts to nothing.
TODAY TODAY IT'S ALL OR NOTHING
I must have been blind to singing this song and not grasping the whole meaning. I always assumed it meant praise, but I forgot that praise comes together with the way you lead your life.
So take it all :)

Being Seven
When you run out of the ocean and into the towel your father holds out for you, fluffy and warm from the sun, and you are wrapped up in it, scooped up in his strong arms and carried laughing, shivering when the wind hits your wet skin, to where your mother sits with the baby and the hot sun dries salt water summer highlights into your hair while you sit with your toes in the sand and the towel around your shoulders watching the big kids chase after summer love.

Between The Traffic and the Ordinary Sounds
I haven't been online here for so long. I've decided to step down from a CCA which I love dearly after serving 2 terms as an Exco member - PA Crew. Somehow the Cost Benefit no longer works out and I feel that it's time to move on to different things.
School just keeps getting more and more hectic. So many times I want to go out with friends, I can't, due to commitments. And I still haven't kicked into the Mid Year Exam stress mode yet. Which I have no idea is a good or bad thing. Strangely, I have lost my blogging flair and since probably no one reads this blog, I might close it down. Let's see about it.
Turning 17 in a matter of less than 2 weeks. I feel so old.
